Soli Gin, small-batch distilled handcrafted gin from Cyprus.
Using local botanicals for an authentic taste that is inspired by our love of this land and sea. Soli Gin is the pure essence of Cyprus.
The journey to producing this unique gin began with two dogs and a friendship that has endured for over 40 years. And, of course, a shared passion. To create that perfect Gin & Tonic, Negronis, dry Martinis and the odd White Lady!
Produced using purified neutral alcohol of roughly 96% gin can be made from grain or a by-product of grapes and molasses.

We’re gin drinkers – though not connoisseurs. However, we can see that this is quite different gin. Intensively researched with timeless attention-to-detail. The result? A gorgeous drink that is certain to be a hit with people here in Cyprus and around the world. We have thoroughly enjoyed working on this project. Moreover, we’re looking forward to getting our hands on one of the limited edition founders’ edition.

Small Batch Distilled Gin
Gin is created from grain or a by-product of grapes or molasses and using purified neutral alcohol of roughly 96%. Botanicals are wrapped in muslin, using time-honoured techniques. They are steeped in the alcohol base inside a traditional copper still, for up to 48 hours before the distillation process commences.
Once distilled Soli Gin is cut with a locally sourced natural spring water from the Paphos region. This is used to attain the legal alcohol percentage before bottling. Of course, the real Gin heroes are, the botanicals.
The Distillation Process
Introduced to the distillation process, different quantities and types of botanicals incorporated. Tasting at each stage is crucial. A small batch of gin with which we were happy was produced in what was a surprisingly short period of time. Distinct botanical and citrus notes that soaked well with tonic were apparent. Excited and enthusiastic by this little success, the next question was how and if the gin could be produced on a commercial scale.
After much brainstorming and many meetings, the Kamanterna winery (formerly SODAP) agreed to dedicate a still for the production of the gin.

The Soli Gin bottles were inspired by Ancient Greek amphora.
The Octopus on the label is from Minoan amphora pottery paintings. The colour of the bottles signifies the stunning Mediterranean Sea and sky. Finally, all beautifully pulled together by their talented graphic designer, Emma.
